Frontier Fourth Way Spiritual Practice |
Inner Work For the week of: April 21, 2003 Leaning Forward and Falling Back Any given moment of presence passes all too quickly as we fall out of the now. Too much of the time, we anticipate the future or dwell on the past in such a way that we abandon the present. When we walk or jog, for example, we typically lean forward, inwardly, toward the next step or toward our destination. But we could foresee and plan for the future or consider the past while remaining fully rooted in our body, in this one moment. For this week, notice how you slide into the past or future, unknowingly and unintentionally. Work to create a new equilibrium centered in the present.
